ABOUT THIS COURSE

Understanding the risks associated with hypoxia and reduced air pressure are vital to safe flight. In this program Dr. Keith Roxo will review:

  • The relationship between atmospheric pressure, oxygen content and hemoglobin affinity
  • The effects of altitude on the oxygen dissociation curve and other physiological impacts
  • Operational risks associated with pressurization and decompression
  • Oxygen risk management strategies and equipment usage recommendations
  • Viewers will be able to type in their questions to be answered during the event. We’ll explain how to do so at the beginning of the webinar.

Although this American Bonanza Society program is oriented toward pilots of Beech airplanes, the discussion, techniques and procedures described are valuable to the pilot of any airplane.
